During the MOT test we will conduct a full inspection and a series of checks around and under the vehicle. Each check is recorded and if the vehicle passes we’ll issue a certificate. If the vehicle fails to meet the required standards then a document is issued and we’ll provide a competitive quote for carrying out the necessary work.
We offer a free MOT re-test on your vehicle providing that any necessary work has been completed by us and carried out within 10 working days.
The MOT Certificate only relates to the condition of testable items at the time of the test. This certificate is not regarded as official evidence of the condition of the items tested or the general mechanical condition of the vehicle.
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure their vehicle is tested every 12 months. Without the owner holding a valid MOT certificate, they will be unable to drive their vehicle lawfully or renew road tax. Recently VOSA have computerised the MOT testing system which means the police can now check remotely to see if your vehicle has a valid and current MOT.
There could be a fine or penalty for not having an up to date MOT certificate and any insurance claim could be affected by the absence of your MOT, especially in the case of an accident which may cause injury.
